Hi everyone! I'm Tony and I work for Lifetime Brands, the company that manufactures Misto. I've read many of your reviews and wanted to let you know a few things: First of all, Misto is BPA-free. Regarding performance, remember to only fill your Misto half-way to leave room to pressurize when pumping. Also, you CAN use Misto with many types of oils, including: olive oil, vegetable oil and canola oil to name a few. You can also put vinegar in your Misto - which is perfect for salads! I saw Rick Bayless using something like this on grilled veggies on the grill and thought it would be worth a try. This one has worked well for me the past few months. It's relatively easy to clean, super easy to use, and it works great for vegetables, or whatever you're cooking.
I'm a terrible cook, generally speaking, so take this review for what it's worth. But, spraying the oil rather than spreading coats more evenly. Just make sure to keep the pressure high enough, or you'll get uneven droplets and a less favorable effect.

I purchased this on a whim ... I was buying a hot air popcorn popper and thought this would be an easy way to get a little oil on my popopcorn so that my salt could stick. I totally prefer olive oil to butter! Anyway, I can't tell you how many times I've used this wonderful little kitchen gadget ... on veggies, meats, and of course my popcorn!! I would HIGHLY recommend it!! It is easy to use ... no hassle at all!! I prefer it to store bought "PAM" or the likes!! It's a GREAT invention and I'm thrilled that I stumbled upon it!!Customer Review: Works just fine - pumping takes time!

I've had no problem with this sprayer, pumping it till it's pumped completely will give you more than a few seconds worth of spray. I have to push the button down completely for it to spray a spray and not a stream. I have not had any clogs and I don't use it that frequently, so you'd think it would clog up on me if it were going to. In fact, I have to dump the oil and replace now and then, since extra virgin olive oil is not particularly shelf stable. I'd buy it again - in fact, I'm sending it to my sister-in-law as a gift.Customer Review: Reviewer comments very helpful

I can understand why some reviewers found problems with this item - if I may sum up some of the helpful hints:
- Hold the pan vertically, so you can hold the sprayer in an upright position
- Release any built-up pressure by loosening the cap when you're done using it
- Don't overfill
With these tips, I feel this product performs as it's intended, and delivers a great value in being able to use pure oils instead of artificial products. Every healthy kitchen should have one.
