The pans I received were a bit different than the illustration. The pans I have seem shallower and is a medium gray color. The illustration shows deeper pans with a darker, nearly black color. The illustration looked like the 10 inch black Circulon that I had, which was given to me by a relative. I used it for several years and finally wore it out. The shallower pan that I got is less useful because when I stir fry vegetables, I will need to be very careful so that stuff would not come out onto the stove area. Also, the handle is quite massive and long and it can tilt the pan if it is empty and not well positioned on the stove. This is quite annoying since the handle need not be so massive to do the job. The handle on my old Circulon pan was much smaller and lighter and it did its job without giving me the same problem. Since I needed a pan to use after going nearly 2 weeks without one, I did not return the 2 pans that I received, since it is not too bad a deal for $40. But I will be shopping for another one that is deeper. I will keep these as back ups. I am guessing that the pan I really wanted was the "classic" rather than the "Elite" version.Customer Review: Poorly balanced

The skillets are great in many ways but poorly balanced. The handles, although comfortable to grasp, are too heavy -- or maybe the pans are not heavy enough. When the skillets are placed on the burner, they teeter up and down. Only when you have added enough food to weigh them down do they sit flat on the burner. The weight of oil or butter and a little chopped onion or garlic is not enough to make the skillets steady, so you end up cooking for a while with part of the pan up in the air above the burner. One wonders if perhaps a previous model was modified so that the pan contained less metal in order to decrease manufacturing costs, and when this resulted in a wobbly pan, the price of these skillets was reduced in order get rid of them. I would not buy a Circulon pan online again. I like the finish and the design and the way the handle feels but would be wary of buying another one without testing the balance. We bought these because we have a Circulon wok which we like very much.Customer Review: Reason for low rating

The add for the 9 inch and 10 inch skillet led one to beleive you could purchase a lid for both. You can for the 10 inch skillet but not the 9 inch one . Othe rtheen that very satisfied.Customer Review: The Amazon Price is not lower than the Circulon website
