This is a mid quality set of scissors (sharpened flat metal rather than forged). They're not as good as most of the scissors made by Wiss, nor are they the flimsy things you sometimes see. I bought them as a secondary set of scissors and for that they are nearly perfect. Considering the quality and the price they are an excellent value (the scissors themselves are probably 3 1/2 stars, but the value factor is why I gave them 5 stars). I can't speak to durability since I've only had them for a short time. If you needed a pair of scissors for heavy-duty or constant use, I would recommend looking at those made by Wiss first, otherwise I think most people would be quite happy with this set.
