I bought this product and found that one of the cords has a big problem with staying connected. You think both side are on and frying when the only one is still working. The attachment magnet does not work effectively. I also bought one for my father and he is having the same problem. We both have to brace the deeper fryer against something hard like a wall so that the connection stays in place. On the positive side this deep fryer fries up very well and crispy. I just wish both side workded effectively.Customer Review: put clear nail polish on controls when you buy it!

I read the reviews that said that the indicators on the dial wipe off quickly, as soon as you clean them from the first oil splatters. That's perfectly true. My fix was painting over the numbers with clear polish. It works perfectly. Of course, this is just a fix for something that the company should have fixed itself! Also, one of my heating elements won't stay attached to the electrical element. This is incredibly inconvenient. This could be a very good product if they fixed these flaws.Customer Review: Buy something else.

I purchased the 8-liter model, and it is a very generous size. That is about all I can say that is good about this fryer. When you clean it, the temperature settings clean right off, so you cannot adjust the temperature as easily anymore. I believe you can get new stickers sent out, but I imagine the new would be subject to the same problem. The main problem is the heaters though. There are two seperate heating elements, and both completely stopped working after only a couple of uses. I returned that unit to Amazon for a replacement, and one of the heating elements in the replacement unit has already stopped working (2 months later). I have not yet tried to contact the company for repair/replacement, but it is not comforting that three out of four heating elements have been defective. If I could do it over, I would buy something else.Customer Review: Fire Hazard

I purchased this fryer because of the size and having separated fry areas. It was great for about a week! I was about to write a great review about it. Then not one, but both of the heating elements started billowing white smoke that smelled of burning wires. I am not the only one to have this problem. The company insists that it is just lubricant burning off, but it is just poor design. I don't see how a company can continue to sell a defective product to people. If your product doesn't work, fix the flaw or discontinue it. I wouldn't waste the money on this fryer and I have serious doubts about the company now as well.
