I'm entering college this coming fall and have begun shopping for my dorm. Rice is a staple in my culture and diet, so I was looking for a convenient way to make rice. The rice comes out perfect, even though it took me the second time to make it absolutely perfect and fluffy. Rice is a great part of many meals, but cooking time and effort can diminish the desire to include it in the menu. This microwaveable appliance solves all that. I lost the instructions, so I have had to experiment with rice/water balance. The product is terrific and great for ease of use--and cleaning. I am incapable of cooking rice on the stove without burning it, but the little microwave rice cookers like this are terrific! I've had mine for about 15 yrs, love it, always get perfect rice (not my experience on the stovetop). Pieces have all stayed intact and still looks and works like new. Great for making rice for 1 or 2 people. If I need to make more, I make multiple batchesCustomer Review: It's Perfect !

I just got this thing yesterday (very fast delivery, by the way), and first time i tried -- 2 cups of rice, 3 cups of water -- and 13 minutes later I had perfect rice. Last time I cooked rice on the stove, I had to throw away the pot. This thing is great.
