Prior to purchasing I had been to several parties of friends that claimed they had a great blender for frozen drinks. There were several that were knock offs from the Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker. Then I tried the Margaritaville machine. The shaved ice feature makes all the difference in the world. I did purchase from Kohl's at a bigger discount with my preferred customer card which made the price around $203. Such a huge savings that I didn't mind spending the money to have the best drink maker that provided the right consistency.Customer Review: It's not an appliance - It's a life style!!

OK, If you can't love this machine, your mother did you major damage in your formative years. I would suggest a trip to Dr. Phil for some intensive therapy. This machine produces the best shaved ice in the world. No mere blender can compete. You might say it is overpriced but you probably drive a Hyundai and tell people it is just as good as a BMW. Plus it comes with a great recipe book to help you change your latitude and change your attitude. I find myself humming boat songs about 4:30 every day! This blender is awesome. The ice shaver is fantastic. No more ice lumps in your frozen concoction that you get with regular blenders.It has many speeds as well as just a blender when all you want is a rocks marg. It is a conversation piece as well when it is sitting on your counter.There are some great food and drink recipes that come with the blender that I plan on trying as well. I plan to get the carrying case as well so that I can take it to parties and on house boat vacations. I am a connoisseur of the frozen margarita and this machine makes them just as well as any restaurant. When I make them at home I use tequila, triple sec, and fresh lime juice as I prefer not to use a mix. However, I have fond that this machine makes a margarita with a more frozen/slushy consistency when I use half ice and half frozen margarita mix instead of all ice. I then just add a few extra drops of tequila to get rid of that phony mix taste. I love this machine and would highly recommend it to any frozen cocktail lover.Customer Review: A must for any party

This machine is great. If you follow the recipes in the book the margaritas come out with a wonderful consistency. You just put the correct amount of mix into the lower blender, set the dial for the number of drinks (1-3), and "Set it and forget it". It works for daiquiris as well. It is well made.
Pros: Perfect margaritas. Easy to use. Has ability to adjust the amount of ice and reblend. Great centerpiece for any party.
Cons: It's big, heavy and loud but who cares after a few drinks!
