Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Maggie's Soap Nuts. (1 Kilo, 200-400+ Loads) 100% Natural Laundry Soap. Grows on TreesTM. Very Best Quality. America's Premier Supplier. Wild Harvested! Processed with NO Chemicals or Preservatives.Customer Review: A bit on the sticky side Summary: 3 StarsI ordered a smaller quantity of soap nuts before and really liked them (they came in a box), so bought this larger bag since it was more cost effective. However, when they arrived, they are extremely sticky and have a much more pungent odor then the previous box of soap nuts. They seem to work fine, but just are a little more messy then I would have liked.
Customer Review: The best ever laundry soap, bar none! Summary: 5 StarsThis stuff works, and it works well. Best results are obtained with warm or hot washes in a front loader machine, however if you need to wash delicate's or wish to use a cold wash, then why not make a "tea" from the soap nuts, either boil a couple of them in a pot or let them steep in some boiling water, then add the cold "tea" to the machine and wash as usual. You'll love the results; clean, fresh, soft, non-irritating and static free, good for people, good for pets and good for the environment. Whats not to love?
Customer Review: These are Great. Summary: 5 StarsMy daughter sent me a link to these once, and I decided to try them though they seemed rather odd. (which is why she sent me the link). I love them and have been using them every since.
I can smell *no* aroma from them on the clothes, so when I want to I add essential oils to the water (just a drop does it), and I can have clothes that smell of peppermint, or what ever aroma I want at the time.
They are very easy to use, I think even easier than measuring out liquid or powder detergent and fabric softener. It does well in bringing out the stains and when I need a little 'extra' power I toss in a scoop of Earth Friendly powdered laundry booster. They are great for front load washers!
Two little bags comes along with the *box* of Soap Nuts (didn't get one with the large bag - at least haven't found it yet, might be one in there). And also as an added gift 'with the box' there is a pair of earrings made from two of the smaller soap nuts. Cute.
You can make soap for different uses by soaking the nuts and using the tea from them, which I haven't tried yet but intend to eventually. I like the idea that they are kind to the environment as well...that is a BIG plus as I like to use green and organic products as much as possible.

Customer Review: Maggies soap nuts Summary: 5 StarsI have been using soap nuts for several months because of chemical allergies, they take up small amounts of space; and, best of all, they work! I had tried a small amount first because I wanted to be sure that they did what they said they did. Then I ordered the larger amount. I was making my own laundry detergent, using white vinegar for softner and needing to always use a second rinse. Now that is not necessary. I have noted that each load seemed to get my clothes cleaner and softer. An added benefit is that I save the soap nuts and put them in a jar with water and it gives me a wonderful cleaning solution. I use tea tree oil in every laundry load I do for disinfecting and so I feel the soap nuts have been disinfected even though used. I have found that I do not need to make up most of my cleaning supplies with using this product. It cleans windows and mirrors, fronts of dishwashers, etc with a wonderful shine; just be sure to wipe completely dry and polish. I have been using it on my old fiberglass tub after showering and it leaves a nice shine. I just spray and use a long handled mop to spread it around and then rinse. I had tried everything on this tub (we bought our mobile home used and nothing took off the stuff that was on it until now)....so...Maggies soap nuts are the best! I cannot have enough of them....what are you waiting for?? try some. experiment with the liquid, etc.
