Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Body Rite Posture Pleaser-

Customer Review: Great for handcrafters
Summary: 4 Stars

There are a lot of reviews here from computer users, but I wanted to put in a shout-out from a handcrafter. I know we've all had that between the shoulderblades pain after hunching over our work for too long, and I'm here to tell you that the Body Rite will make that go away.

I do a lot of handcrafting, especially knitting, crochet, spinning, and sewing, and a day devoted to my hobbies used to leave me with a terrible pain between my shoulderblades that left me laying on the floor and praying for the asprin to kick in. The Body Rite, which I first had recommended to me years ago by a professional seamstress, has put an end to those days. I can feel it correcting my posture, and while it did leave my back a bit sore at first (I wasn't used to standing up straight!) I noticed the difference right away when I put it on and used it while I was spinning. Before, I couldn't go for more than a half hour or so without having to stop, so I was surprised as the time ticked by, and I kept spinning, and I felt fine. I can -really- tell the difference if I forget to use it.

I did knock off one star because the straps are way too thick. I'd like to be able to wear it around all day, but after a while, the thick straps get to irritating the skin under my arms, even through a shirt.

Customer Review: Body Rite makes my back feel much better
Summary: 4 Stars

The Body Rite Posture Pleaser has made a big improvement in my backaches after quilting. When I wear it I can sew several more hours. I used to sew too long and wind up with muscle spasms for hours. Now I can sew for 4 or 5 hours without ending up in agony. One thing I'd like to see improved is the strap - it should be cushioned so it doesn't dig into your arms. I'm going to make some myself out of batting or prequilted fabric.

Customer Review: Corrected my posture
Summary: 4 Stars

Very pleased with the product. It corrected my posture immediately. I work at a computer all day and have done so for many years. It has taken a toll on my back; have become round-shouldered because of it.

When I first started wearing it the straps were a litte uncomfortable but have gotten use to it. I wear it all the time in the house and hopefully one day I won't have to wear it.

Customer Review: A Product That Works
Summary: 4 Stars

When my back starts hurting at work & I put it on my back & neck pain goes away. It also works very well for driving. My sister uses one for all the quilting she does.

Customer Review: Just o.k
Summary: 3 Stars

The posture pleaser is just ok. When i put it on, I immediately noticed a change in my posture, so did others. It definitly pulls your shoulders back, which is what I wanted. But after wearing the brace for couple of hours, the straps under the arms start to rub against your body, which is uncomfortable and it hurts! I purchased another support brace for 1/2 the price and it does a better job. It pulls your shoulders back AND it has cushions for the underarm area.

Like I see, this posture pleaser is just ok.
