I've gone through many muddlers, never finding one I was completely happy with...until now! I can easily say that this is the best muddler I've ever used, and I've yet to find any faults with it. It's comfortable to use, is a great size, and works perfectly.
I especially appreciate how long the handle is, which allows me to muddle inside even the tallest glasses. I also enjoy being able to toss it in the dishwasher and not worry about cleanup. Most importantly, it muddles perfectly and is quite strong! To illustrate: I love making a drink that requires muddling a dried cherry, which is actually one of the toughest things to muddle. This has been the downfall of many previous muddlers, but this one makes short work of dried cherries and can practically obliterate them, if desired.
Some previous reviewers have complained about the concave bottom, which does exist. Before using it, I also thought this would be a limitation, but now I actually like this feature and feel that it provides some extra control. For example, if I don't want to release too much flavor from what I'm muddling, I can just press straight down, which muddles along the edges, but spares the center. The concave bottom also comes in handy when muddling a tall pile of ingredients. When making a drink that requires muddling an orange wedge, a lime wedge, a lemon wedge, and a maraschino cherry, for instance, I've found that the concave bottom helps the muddler stay in contact with the slippery pile, preventing it from slipping off and banging the side of the glass. All in all, an incredible addition to my bar.

With the Caipirinha being my favorite mixed drink, I have always used a wooden pestle/muddle, and never knew the difference - until now.
This pestle/muddle is very comfortable in the hand, and the diameter is large enough that it is easy to grasp and does not slip through the hand when applying pressure to mash the fruit.
The length is very nice, at 25cm (about 10 inches). I actually purchased this and another brand as I though this would be somewhat cheap in appearance, but was happy to see it is a quality product - no need to spend the extra money on another one - this is a nice product, and will take care of all your needs.
This MIU pestle/muddle is less expensive than the Rosle Fruit Muddle / Caipirinha Pestle', and is different in the following ways:
*Smaller diameter
*1/4 inch longer in length
*The green head which mashes the fruit is flat on the Rosle, whereas the head on the MIU is concave, which means it will not mash quite as easily or well, but will get the job done.
I highly recommend both this MIU and the Rosle pestle/muddle. Not only do they function well, but they look very cool when you pull them out to mix up a Caipirinha for you and your friends!

I love Mojitos, but never had a muddler to make them, so my home made ones were never very good, until now!
The stainless steel shaft is pretty rugged. It has finger grips to hold it by its side. The top is flat, yet not uncomfortable to use by gripping the top. Seems to be dishwasher safe.
The bottom is plasitc which does concern me a little, but so far it has held up very well. It is concave, but has "spikes" to help muddle the lime and mint. I only have to muddle for a few seconds to release the lime juice.
Overall I am very pleased with this Muddler.

I love mojjitos! I've only owned one muddler (after being told by a friend that I should own one if I love mojjitos as much as I do..) but this one has served it's purpose great! It has little grooves on the bottom (green part) that really crush the mint leaves. It's got good heft to it and cleans up easy (I just put mine in the dishwasher with no problems).
I don't know what else to say. It was worth what I paid and I would buy this product again if I ever lost mine. I even bought this one for a friend when they mentioned wanting a muddler. '

This muddler functions very well. The long handles allows me to muddle in the tall glasses that I like to use to serve mojitos. The bottom head can grip and crush he mint leaves much easier than a traditional wood muddler. Now it takes me less total time to make a mojito. Since this is made up of steel and plastic, it doesn't get stained by the mint as my wood muddler did. The price is also very nice.
