I used one of these at a friend's house, and was amazed at the simplicity of use. At this price, it was worth it, even considering some of the questionable long term reliability concerns from previous reviewers. My use is moderate, maybe 2 bottles per week, and I'm following the lubrication recommendations of one reviewer.
My only suggestion to the manufacturer would be to make a modification to the stand to include some kind of snap-in device to hold that spare corkscrew underneath.

After debating whether or not to spend more money for one of the Rabbit openers, I decided to go cheap and buy the MIU and am glad that I did. The MIU corkscrew works wonderfully. It works well on real corks AND synthetic corks. It's cheap!! It's all metal and solidly built. A reviewer for the Rabbit indicated that the Rabbit had some plastic parts. I can't believe that the MIU is so inexpensive in comparison and would urge anyone debating between the two to definitely buy the MIU!Customer Review: easiest corkscrew ever

I've struggled with several other lever type corkscrews, and forget the bartender's friend (no friend of mine)! This corkscrew works well and is easy to use. I've had mine for a year and still haven't needed to use the spare screw. I'm buying another one for our wine club so I can no longer fight the myriad of corkscrews we have that I just can't make work (it's me, but why not get the product that works well for those of us who are mechanically challenged....)Customer Review: wine bottle opener

I am not an expert at opening wine bottles. I lost a cork in the last bottle I tried to do by hand. This new opener is easy to use, removing the cork takes a little effort but it comes off the coil cleanly. It comes with a foil cutter and a holder to stand the opener in when not in use and the cutter fits into the holder as well. I tell all my friends, shop around then go to amazon's website, you can always find it for a better price and fast deliveries.Customer Review: Works well, hasn't fallen apart

This is very easy to use. I've owned very similar designs from other manufacturers and they've broken or fallen apart without much work. This type of opener really takes away the "wrenching" necessary to get the cork out of the bottle. It makes the process far more controlled, manageable and less arm and shoulder action is taking place so you're far less likely to drop the bottle, hit it on something or hurt yourself. Definitely recommended.
