Customer Review: Great Slicer!

I've used lot's of different cheese slicers over the years; wire slicers, scrapers, hand-helds, and block cutters. But this one beats them all. I tried it on several different cheeses of varying hardness. It worked perfectly and accurately in all cases. Clean up is a breeze! I did NOT try it out on really soft cheese product (i.e. Velveeta). It may not work well on such products because they are not "real" cheeses. It has to do with the "stickiness" of cheese products, like Velveeta. The 1/2 inch wide cutting blade may tend to bind up in Velveeta and similar products. For those, the wire cutters no doubt would perform better. But then, Velveeta will not break the wire cutter either. So, if you intend to slice Velveeta and it's imitators, use a wire cutter. But for Real Cheese, this product can't be beat!
