I bought these for myself ~ was tired of using the plastic colored one's (you know the brand). These are wonderful, and so beautiful, that I leave them setting out all the time by my mixer now. I could have purchased All Clad, but then again, why pay alot more when you get just as good of quality, if not better?! Also ~ why have 2 or 3 different sets around to get all the sizes you need.. what is that?! I gave my old sets away, and bought this SEVEN piece set for myself. I am so glad I did.. the extra measuring sizes are worth every penny, no more searching for another cup of a different color to find your size. And with the 3 point construction on the handles, they will outlast me. I plan on letting my little granddaughter own these someday; ...she loves gammaw's great kitchen gadgets and stainless steel goodies.Customer Review: awesome!

I hesitated for months to buy these measuring cups. They are more expensive than what i wanted to pay. But I finally grabbed them on amazons 4 for 3 offer. I bought 2 sets, so i always have them handy, without having to wash one before reusing. I love them! I have gone thru many kinds of measuring cups. The plastic ones, and one set that claimed to be stainless steel, but rusted from the dishwasher. These are beautiful and very, very functional. They are shiny, and the measuring amounts are engraved and not going to be washed off, or worn off. They come with holes for hanging which was important to me. These should last for many, many years. Glad i bought them, and wont have to worry about replacing again. Now if only amazon would get miu measuring spoons back in stock!Customer Review: Nice set

I bought this over some other sets because I wanted the additional cups. It is replacing a 20+ year old tupperware set that also had the odd sized cups so I didn't want to give them up. It is an attractive set but I would agree with some of the other comments that it is not as heavy as I would have liked. I bought the CIA measuring spoon set at the same time and it appears to be heavier and better made, but this is still a nice set and the odd sized cups make it well worthwhile. I have no problem getting my set to nest and the exterior is very bright and shiny. In fact, the set is so pretty I find myself taking extra care of it; gone are the days of slinging them around! Maybe once the newness wears off......Customer Review: No others come close

This set is the most comprehensive, well made set I've ever had. I bought these 2 years ago after I read a positive review in Cooks Illustrated and I've used them weekly- they're showing minimal wear. They are far superior to plastic & other stainless measuring cups I've bought at the grocery for 5$, only to have to throw them away after a year because I can no longer read the markings. Buy the measuring spoon sets too!
Pros: sturdy construction, durable, permanently well-labeled, dishwasher safe, nest inside one another, great balance & weight (especially when full with liquids), long handles for easy grasp
Cons: I wish this set came with the 2 c. measure you can buy in the 3 pc. set

since the company was founded in HongKong in 1978 and then moved to the mainland 18 years later. Having put the ethinicity thing to rest, I will say that both these and the measuring spoons are heavy-weight and of excellent quality. I also like the larger than average variety (7 vs the typical 5-cup set). I would still give AllClad (which is French but made in the USA)the edge, but you will pay a hefty premium for AllClad.
06/14/06 Update: I noted the 5-piece set (excluding the 2/3 and 3/4 cup measures) was priced at only $11.99. $14 additional for the aforementioned 'odd' sizes seems a bit too much. I recommend the buyer check out the 5-piece set first.
