They work exactly the way they are shown on TV. They make tiny little puncture marks rather than gaping holes that will need to be patched later. They hold pretty heavy pictures and painting. I used two hooks to hang a pretty heavy framed mirror and it's hanging just fine although I never actually weighed it.
I would buy the hercules hooks again.

After watching the infomercial on these hooks I had to try them. They have worked great on all of the pictures I have hung up. They are quick and easy to use, my 13 yr old daughter even hung her own pictures in her room. I haven't hung anything really heavy and don't know that I would but for simple picture hanging I've been very satisfied!
