I have owned this glass container since 1994. It is still without chips, cracks, etc. The reason I purchased this back then was because I was tired of all the plastic containers -- somethings just taste better in glass! Perfect refrigerator size, these stylish containers are a lifesaver. No handles sticking out to waste space, and they hold lots of liquid. 2 liters, in fact. Liters? What is this, Europe?? When I read the other reviews regarding poor packaging, I was a little nervous to open my package up, but it arrived intact and quite well insulated. I bought this pitcher over a year ago for my morning orange juice. It does not drip, the lid is good, and it does not take up much space. I like that it does not have a handle. I purchased this and two other glass pitchers due to my concern over the toxins in plastic. I am pleased with it and I would recommend it to anyone (except people with young children). It would be difficult for a child to handle this pitcher.
