I read some reviews for this product that warned that the product arrived broken because it was poorly made. I had previously bought two other items from this set and was very pleased with the products so I decided to order this piece. The other reviewers were correct. This item arrived broken. It is poorly made and it was very poorly packaged by Amazon. The wood on this piece is thinner than the others in this set. I had to take it apart and rebuild it. The problem was made worse by the fact that it was so poorly packed by Amazon. There was not enough packing material to protect something made of such thin wood. The product would of had a problem without the poor packaging but the poor packaging allowed some of the pieces to arrive broken.
