Customer Review: Great to read with at night!

I have to read at night to fall asleep, but that's my problem. My husband's problem is the light being on. This solves his problem. The light really does illuminate the page and really nothing else. My only complaints are it scratches easily, sometimes distorts the words a little, and it's not too easy when you have to turn the page. I'd still buy it again though. It's the best thing out there for reading in the dark...Customer Review: very good reading light.

I ordered this light because I like to read at night and the lamp bothers my husband. It is easy to use and works well. The only problem I have is I read very fast and one must move the light to the next 2 pages everytime I turn a page..so sometimes I make a little noise and it bothers my husband a little. I rate this product a 4 for two reasons. It is prone to scratching and the over the counter price of $35.00. I bought mine, a "Harry Potter" model, through Amazon for $8.95 solving the second problem. I use a micro fiber cloth, the same one I use to on my glasses, to clean it solving the first problem. Most book lights are awkward and after a few uses, I've given up the idea of reading at night in a dark room. This is the best design I've seen. The light is on the page. I think they could possibly improve the distribution of light on the page, but I imagine that would jack the price up to allow for a more sophisticated lighting method. The LightWedge works as you would expect. It definitely has issues with any sort of smudge or scratch being highly illuminated, but it doesn't distract me too much. It is light-weight. It does illuminate the room more than you might expect, with a soft blue glow. but I still highly prefer it to the type of lights that clip on to a book, which can be quite clumsy.
