This small light wedge is perfect for keeping in your purse and allows reading menus, programs, other printed material in low light situations. I bought this one for my mother as she was jealous of mine when we were on a flight overseas. Too bad it seems to have been discontinued!

The LightWedgeŽ Mini is a pocket-sized light and magnifier that is perfect for reading menus in dimly lit restaurants and programs in dark theatres. It?s portable and lightweight and comes with a sleek clear carrying case. The most popular LightWedge product, the LightWedge Mini is the perfect gift and travel accessory.Small enough to slip into a pocket or purse, the mini LightWedge is a lifesaver when trying to read a menu in a dimly lit restaurant or a program in a darkened opera house. The clear acrylic pane lies flat against a reading surface and illuminates only the reading material, so there's no ambient light to bother other theatergoers or a sleeping partner in bed. Moreover, a barrel lens along the bottom edge magnifies print 1.5 times, so even the finest line can be read.
A round button on the colored end of the wedge (the mini is available in six colors) slides to the left, turning on the bright LED bulb. The included 3-volt disc battery should last a good 20 hours since tiny LED bulbs use a minimum of energy. Overall, the LightWedge mini measures 5 by 3/8 by 2-1/8 inches and comes in a clear plastic protective carry case. Larger original LightWedges designed specifically for reading in bed are also available, and make a great gift for that insomniac bedmate. --Ann Bieri
