Previous reviewers of this paper towel holder weren't kidding! This is, by far, the best paper towel holder I've ever used. I mounted it on the inside of my cabinet door under my kitchen sink, and it truly is a "perfect tear." It's stable, and it's not flimsy like those common plastic ones. The screws/molley bolts that came with it, though, were a little long so we used shorter ones so they wouldn't protrude to the other side of the cabinet door. Looks nice, works great. Heavy duty chrome, not cheapo metal.

After two years of use, the ratcheting tension of our holder has gradually become too weak to tear effectively. Given the low cost of replacing it, I plan to buy another, even if it does have a finite life span. I bought this to replace an "easy tear" towel holder. This one is great! I can pull off just one paper toewl at a time without the entire roll spinning off. The rachet mechanism works very well! It was easy to install and does not take up a lot of space.
