I bought this ice cube tray as a birthday gift for my girlfriend. She loved it a lot since she loves penguins. Just like other reviews stated the ice cube tray is a bit tricky to fill without spilling. It is indeed easy to pop out the ice cubes. I'd say this leans more towards the novelty gift category than everyday use, but if you love penguins a lot I'm sure you'd could get past the spilling of a little water when filling.Customer Review: Simple and straightforward

This was a gift for a friend who loves penguins.
Not too many people make ice cubes the 'old fashioned' way with ice makers and whatnot now but it's definitely more for a cute and nostalgic use than to make mass ice cubes.
I've read some reviews about not putting it in the dishwasher or intense heat but just wash and drip dry.
