Customer Review: A little noisy and bright

The air blows out at great speeds, much better than the traditional tower fan. My confusion is this. It has a night light at the bottom of the fan, apparently so you can see it at night, which, I thought was kind of a nice idea. The problem is that the blue off and on button on the top of the fan is much brighter and luminates the entire room with blue light. I've had to cover it up at night to keep my room dark. I e-mailed the factory about this problem and they said there is nothing I can do about it. I have never known a off and on light brighter than the night light. I feel there wasn't much thought when they designed it.
