This fan did exactly what I hoped it would do: Move a lot of air in a focused fashion. I use it on-stage in a band and it works phenomenally. It's bigger and more heavy-duty than it looks (which is good) and I never have to use it higher than 1 on the speed. The only issue I had was when I received it the fan wouldn't start for a few minutes. I did the ol' hit the thing that isn't working trick (normally not advisable) but it worked, and the fan has been perfect ever since!
Would definitely recommend to anyone else looking for a serious fan.

Well, this was a nice surprise. We got it for our family room because it looked like it moved some air.....and, boy, did it move some air! BUT, it was a lot more noisy than the same type of fan we used at our hotel for the Labor Day seminar we attended.
It does move air, but it moves it with a lot of noise and the higher the setting the more the noise grows in intensity.
We will probably keep it but are disappointed. What this says to me is some are quiet and some are noisy, just the luck of the draw.

I first saw it at a job I was working at where there was no A/C (live in Florida) and I was actually chilled.
So I bought one! This is a great fan...very portable and adjustable. I highly recommend it.
