Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Purina Veterinary Diets Fortiflora Canine, 30 Sachets Per Box

Customer Review: fortiflora canine
Summary: 5 Stars

I have a 7 year old Australian shepard mix who became paralyzed at 2 1/2 years old. Alex was a rescue who had been beaten prior to my adopting him at 6 months of age. Surgery revealed that Al was beaten so badly that the vertebrea had splintered and grown embedded into his nerve endings which led to his paralysis. By no means has this interrupted his mobility or quality of life. Al is a happy and very mobile dog (especially with his wheel chair.) Al does experience bouts of diarrhea which with his paralysis can be very messy. My vet recommended Fortiflora caninie and it has been a lifesaver. I have found fortiflora canine to help immensely with Al's diarrhea. I am a repeat customer of fortiflora canine. Amazon offers me the ability to purchse it at reasonable prices.

Customer Review: Lifesaver
Summary: 5 Stars

I have a 2 year old Dogue de Bordeaux ( French Mastiff) that has had a problem with soft stools since he was a puppy. We had to keep adding more and more high fiber food to his diet because it would only work for a short time. About 4 or 5 months ago, he got diarrhea at a kennel. The vet recommended Fortiflora and it cleared up the problem in one day. I kept giving it for a few more days and noticed his stools wee firmer and normal looking. He's been taking the Fortiflora ever since and it's still working! It's great and he loves the flavor. I wish I'd known about this product sooner....we could have avoided months of my dog having an inflamed bottom from soft stools.

Customer Review: FortiFlora has worked for my senior dog with chronic bacterial overgrowth
Summary: 5 Stars

My senior dog had recurring bacterial overgrowth. It was happening about every 4-6 weeks. I switched him to Hills I/D food and started adding the FortiFlora and organic yogurt. We went to the vet yesterday for his annual checkup and he did not have any overgrowth. He did have what they called groups of 'large rod bacteria' but it was not considered to be the overgrowth they had seen in the past. It could be the good bacteria that is coming from the FortiFlora or yogurt. In any case, I am sold on FortiFlora and just purchased 3 more boxes as I plan to keep him on this protocol of probiotics, probiotics and more probiotics.

Customer Review: Great stuff!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have a French bulldog whom are known to have sensitive stomachs. I couldn't find a food that sat with him well. After talking to our vet, they prescribed FortiFlora. It worked perfectly! Our dog took to it immediately and has had no diarrhea since. It obviously tastes just fine to as he has never treated his food differently with this powder sprinkled on it. I am buying it here now since the vet charges $30/box. Definitely recommend this as a supplement for chronic diarrhea problems.

Customer Review: Wonderful results!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have a 3 year old min-pin who contracted a terrible bacterial infection and a case of gastritis. After emergency medical bills of over $500.00 and antibiotics, she was still not feeling any better. My vet recommended FortiFlora and given the 30 day treatment mixed in her food, after a few days my baby girl started eating and all was better. This product really worked wonders on her and hopefully she will stay healthy. Thanks Purina for helping my Coco!
