Customer Review: All the charm of a jelly jar.

This is a sturdy glass. It will not break accidentally. It is a thick heavy glass with a firm stem and a large base. All that and the charm of an old jelly jar.
If you are looking for a glass that would look nice on a formal table this is not a good choice. While the glass is clear, it just doesn't sparkle in any sense of the word. The casting lines were very visible on the glass I received.
The reservoir also appears to be smaller than any of my other glasses. If you fill to the lines even Pernod will seem to thin and watery. I ended up experimenting until I found a level that made a satisfactory drink.
However I was never afraid that I was going to accidentally break the glass. In fact I think you could use this glass to break other objects.
So it's functional after you figure out your own preferences and will probably last you a life time. If you are looking for something you can take out on a picnic, these would be a good choice. If you are looking for something to add that extra bit of sparkle to your Absinthe experience, look elsewhere.
Also note I had absolutely no problems with the vendor. The glass was shipped quickly and well packed. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.

The mythical herbal liqueur from the turn-of-the-century was a great favorite of artists, and this graceful 6-1/2" high goblet is faceted to showcase the rich colors of aperitifs or wine. Perfect for everyday enjoyment, the Absinthe glass fits the hand with pleasing weight and symmetry. The oldest glass factory in France, La Rochere was founded in 1475, seventeen years before Christopher Columbus set foot in the Americas! La Rochere products are produced by melting, at around 1450 degrees C, a mixture of sand, soda, and lime to create silico-sodocalcic glass. Various other elements are added to refine and improve brilliance to create heavy-duty glassware that's perfect for every day.
