Customer Review: TANSTAAFL - Sometimes you have to pay for quality

Oh, sure. I could have searched out a cheaper set of ceramic knives. But as Heinlein quipped "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch" (TANSTAAFL). And a close reading of the reviews of those other products seemed to indicate that remains true today. I could buy knives that were almost as good. Or I could buy knives that I knew were worth the price.
I'm not a knife junkie. I enjoy cooking, as does my wife, who does an EXCELLENT job. We love adding the veggies to our dishes. But sometimes it gets old and frustrating to have a knife that mashes more than it cuts. I even have and use a sharpening steel to keep the knives in reasonable state.
Well, no more. I bought us this set, a serrated ceramic knife, Kyocera's knife block to store all three, a peeler, a pair of "klutz" gloves and a good cutting board. It made a great present for us.
And these knives are every bit as good as the other reviewers note. They make it a pleasure to slice and dice.
Based on our experience, I can highly recommend this product.
