Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Kyocera Revolution Series 7-Inch Professional Chef's Knife, Black BladeCustomer Review: Great Knife at Affordable Price Summary: 5 Stars
I've had this knife for over a year now and used it extensively. It serves me very well cutting fruits. veggies and meats. It was sharper then my classic metal knives and stayed sharper much longer then any other knife I've owned. (I will use Kyocera's service to sharpen mine)
Word of caution: my in-law decided use her knife to fillet a fish with it. Very bad idea - as the blade went through fish bones it visibly got damaged. This knife was never meant to handle bones of any kind.
Customer Review: My First Ceramic Knife Summary: 5 Stars
I have been curious about these knives since I first heard of them, but I had never tried them before. I had some birthday money burning a hole in my pocket and decided to get one. It is amazingly sharp. I have never been able to cut paper thin slices of vegetables so easily. It just glides through the food. I have only had it for about a month, so I can't comment on how long it stays so sharp, but I am enjoying it very much so far.
Customer Review: Very sharp knife Summary: 5 Stars
This is a very sharp knife. I used it for the first time last night to slice tomatoes. It cut through them like they were hot butter. Better watch the fingers with this knife! I must be very careful and not drop it on the kitchen tile floor. I understand you only get to do that once.. Very good knife. I will buy more Kyocera knives in the future.
Customer Review: INSANE! Summary: 5 Stars
Seriously...it's an insane knife. Will totally change the way you approach cooking. The MOST beautiful thing in my kitchen. I named her "Lola". Yes, anything this sharp is definietly feminine. And Lola does not belong in the drawer with the other knives. No. No. No. She has her own space and place when nothing comes in contact with her loveliness.
Customer Review: A must have for every kitchen Summary: 5 Stars
Due to the expense, I try to buy a ceramic knife at least once a year. I just added the FK-180 Black to my stable.
I have no cons at all about Keyocera knives. A little dose of common sense, and you will have a companion in your kitchen for a lifetime.
If I couldn't replace it, I would not sell it for 5 times the price.
