One Christmas, I received a salt and peppermill set. Initially, they worked fine, but the metal blades rusted and pitted and finally locked up, so out they went! Looking for a better replacement, I read glowing reviews for the Kyocera products fine mill. In case you are not familiar with Kyocera, it is a large Japanese corporation with many fine products (copiers, printers, etc.) but are especially famous for their ceramic knives and scissors. I have had the black top Fine Mill for over six months (for peppercorns) with flawless operation. Just added the white top model (for sea salt) and expect the same. Easy to clean, and no rust, pitting problems from the ceramic grinding components. A+!
