I am pretty good with a knife, and I have a full sized mandolin, so it took me a while to come up with an excuse to buy one of these. I and glad I did because it is great. The blade is incredibly sharp, the size adjustments are easy to use, and set a good functional widths, and the whole thing works really well. The hand guard is either useless, or I have no concept of how to use it... Either way, I took some beautiful 0.5mm cross sections of my thumb before I realizes how sharp and fast a cutting cut I had.Customer Review: The Handiest slicer around

I love this slicer! I have a full size mandolin but to get it out for a bit of sliced onion, cucumber & radish for a salad every evening is a bother. As I like my slices thin, this is a real time and effort saver. Be sure to use the safety holder...I didn't and stopped paying attention for one slice of onion and made a nasty slice on my pinky finger....
It cleans up easily, needs just a bit of space for storage and I expect to have it for quite some time.

I love this slicer! It makes slicing anything and everything superfast and super-easy. I'll lay it over a big bowl and do radishes, beets, carrots, cucumbers, cabbage, scallions, anything...on top of my favorite salad greens. One tool to clean up at the end.
The ceramic blade is sharp and impressive. The slicer is easy and fast to use and clean. What else could one ask for?
I use this tool 3-4 times a week and recommend it highly for anyone.

Highly recommended! This mandoline slicer works exactly as described -- on the 0.5 setting the slices are paper-thin, and even thinner if you do not press down too hard. The blade is very sharp; the food doesn't get stuck in it. The cutouts on one end make it very secure when slicing over a bowl. Very easy to clean. I bought this slicer because I have had such good results with my Kyocera ceramic vegetable peeler, and this slicer is another hit!Customer Review: Quality product for kitchen.

We wanted a mandolin for our kitchen but did not like the high price. The Kyocera fit our budget and works flawlessly. I use it mostly for microwave potato chips and they are cut perfectly with the slicer. There are no parts to rust, a safe design to prevent injury and takes very little space in our kitchen. We are so happy with it that I ordered 3 more for our family members.
