Customer Review: Keeps things COOL, not COLD.

I bought this with realistic expectations: I didn't think it was going to keep my drinks ice cold and it doesn't. But it keeps things cool enough to be worth it. I use it at the office; my office building outlawed dorm-sized fridges and this is a good alternative. Yes, I wish it kept food and drinks a bit colder and it would be nice if it was bigger inside but I can keep three 10 oz. bottles of water and one yogurt cool and that's good enough for me. They also improved the latch on it; it's not as flimsy as the latch shown on this product page. I'm pleased with it and I think it's a good buy as long as you know its limitations.Customer Review: Can't beat this for the price

I wanted something at work to keep my soda cool. I was debating between a full blown mini-refrigerator or one of these. This is esentially a insulated cooler with a heat-sink and fan on it. Surprisingly though it cools the soda down very well. The instructions say it will get to about 30 degrees below ambient room temperature and I'd have to say it does a pretty good job of that. The only thing I don't really like about this is the lever to open the door on it, but it's a very minor issue for me. I've had this for about 60 days now with no issues. It runs constantly and keeps my soda nice and cool at work.

Soda temp is dropped about 30-35 degree F over room temp. If you want a really cold soda, you'll need a room temp at 70 or less. The warmer the room, the less the temp difference seems to be. Not like a standard fridge, but does what it was designed to. For a normal room temp it works well.
It's silent, construction quality is good except for door handle as other have noted. As long as you are pre-warned the handle rotates sideway and do not abuse it you;ll be OK. Warn guests or keep them away.
Come with 115v and 12v plugs so you can plug into your car.

Just want you to know the Fridge COMES WITH AN AC CORD, so you don't have to buy the 12 volt transformer Amazon suggests you buy. It keeps soda cold, but it will not hold a 20oz bottle of water.
Keeps the soda nice and cold. Make sure you keep a few sodas on hand as it will cool a warm can of soda in a day. I keep 4 cans in the cooler and still have space to put a sandwich or entree.
Watch the opening handle as it turns side to side and could snap off if pulled. If the handle was built a bit stronger I would have given it a five star review.

This little fridge is great. It really gets the items you place in it very cold in a relatively short time. I placed a room tempature pop in the fridge and within an hour it was nice and cold. I would have given this 5 stars but the cooling fan is pretty loud. It might be a bit distracting and annoying if you work someplace quiet. The front handle looks like you should pull it to get the front door open, but you have to slide it to the side. It is only plastic and can be easily broken if you were to pull it. Other than those 2 things it works great.
