Gone are the days of scraping the measuring cups clean when measuring viscous liquids ans semi-solids (with the exception of the top of the plunger after the contents have been expelled). Works as advertised. I'm not sure how long the rubber gasket/o-ring will hold up as there is a lot of friction when sliding the plunger when it's dry, but for now it works as advertised. There's a reason Alton Brown uses these.
