My kitchen is so small....that only two people can fit in there. I bought this because I was running out of space in the cupboards, don't have any counter-space and would sometimes 'lose' spices that were buried in the back.
It can be mounted on the bottom of the cabinet....I have mine above my sink.
It really saves considerable space. It holds It holds 12 spices and has convenient labels of the common spices. The carousel of course swivels, which allows you to easily determine what you have or running low on. The instructions say that another carousel can be stacked/ mounted on it...so if you have a lot of spices...you should probably get two. Each canister holds more than the average sized spice bottle you pick up in the store. If you have any strong spices...such as curry, you'll smell it coming from the carousel...even though it has a 'seal' to close each canister.
Each canister has a neat dial which can dispense 1/4 tsp. You can also open it up to dump more at a time. Filling is very easy.
I definitely like this item.
