Customer Review: Waste of Money

I bought this cup based on Cooks Illustrated review. They missed the mark on this thing. First, the packaging was very poorly designed. There was a big blob of very sticky stuff holding the packaging to both the top and bottom of the device. The packaging was seriously stuck to the cup, and I broke the top trying to get the cursed thing free. I used superglue to put it back together. Second, the cup does not function smoothly unless the little flange on the plunger is oiled. What? After I wash the thing I have to oil it??? Just to get it back together and to use it??? Third, it can't bear much weight before the plunger starts to slide off mark - probably from the oil. I wish I'd never seen the thing.
