Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Keurig B30 Mini Personal Single-Serve Brewing System, BlackCustomer Review: Perfect gift to yourself: when it's more blessed to receive. Summary: 5 StarsI first heard mention of this device on a program touting investments, and Keurig came up as a potentially hot stock. I'm not sure if it's on any of the exchanges, but it makes a hot--not to mention quick, no-mess, no-brainer--cup of coffee. (And, though I probably shouldn't admit it, I've felt no need to clean the thing since I started using it over a week ago.) I had mentioned the device to family members, who simply pooh-poohed it as yet another gratuitous gadget. Then I remembered some research suggesting that consumers appreciate--and by a wide margin--the things they've gifted to themselves far more than any gifts they've received from others. Even if it's that computer you've wanted, you're likely to like it more when you've exercised your right, as a privileged member of a capitalistic society (on life support), to buy it yourself than to rely on the largesse of someone else. (So much for my plan to give former students Kindles--practically a guarantee Amazon's amazing cyber-tablet will see as much use as a hard copy of Spenser's "The Fairie Queen").
As for the coffee, I'm a connoisseur of Scotch and bourbon (make it Dewar's and Old Fitz respectively), but all coffee tastes pretty much the same. So the so-called advantage of being able to sample a different brew each day from around the world is a non-factor in my attraction to the Keurig. But I will endorse it not merely on coffee but medicinal grounds. Whereas formerly I'd pop a No Doze for a caffeinated wake-up call, I'm now content to sip a cup of Jo, and as most of us know, you can never drink enough liquids.
In sum, this thing makes coffee-making as fast and easy as a Prime one-click purchase. (Actually, moving from a cold start to a satisfying finish requires exactly 3 minutes.) In any case, you soon get it down to a point where the brew and the pop-up toaster are as tightly in sync as Oscar Peterson and Ray Brown.
Customer Review: Best coffee maker I have ever purchased. Summary: 5 StarsI have purchased the filter and using the regular coffee to Brow . It is very easy to use and the coffee is the fresh and very tasty. It works perfectly if, you need just one cup of hot water.
Customer Review: Not a good cup of coffee Summary: 1 StarsI have tried several brands and types of coffee and tea with this machine. I have not found one that is really good. The coffee comes out weak, the hot chocolate is just awful (think slightly muddy water), and the teas are not that great. I wish I had not purchased this. I have lots of k-cups but I prefer to use my regular drip coffee maker. I have the Perfect Pod accessory and the coffee still is not as good as a regular drip coffee maker. Concept good, taste not so good.
Customer Review: perfect brew every time Summary: 5 StarsWe got this mini as an early christmas gift, and are completely satisfied and amazed at what a wonderful product it is! It is sturdy built, easy to use, no muss or fuss or big clean-up required,...but best of all, it makes perfect cups of coffee time after time. You know how you always wish you could have coffee at home like your favorite restaurants always have? Well, now you can. Buy this mini, or one of the other Keurigs, and give yourself a treat.
Customer Review: I Love, LOVE, love this!! Summary: 5 StarsI bought this for myself as I am a one cup in the morning type of gal and I HATE to clean, and I hate to waste, coffee in this case.
All you do is pop in one of the K-cups (about 50 cents each), the size of a creamer, close it, add one mug of water, close it, press start, and voila! 3 minutes later, you have your coffee and go! It is so simple and safe that my 5 year old daughter can make her own hot chocolate in it- she adds marshmallows to the cup first. The tea K-cups are not as good as the coffee ones (I bought the variety pack as a starter) but they are drinkable.
This product is so perfect for me that I am getting one for my mom for christams, who compains of never making the perfect cup of coffee- and she has tried every type of coffee maker you can imagine but can never get the proportions of water to coffee right.
Have I said that I love, LOVE this product?!
