This is a basic, straight-forward, easy to use electric kettle. It doesn't have the higher quality feel of a Braun or Breville, but for the inexpensive cost & free shipping it can't be beat. This has the older style cordless base (rectangular fitting under the handle instead of the center round fitting in the middle of the newer kettles).

With 1100 watts of power, this electric kettle boils up to 55 ounces of water quickly and easily, producing hot water for tea, hot chocolate, and instant soup in half the time of a microwave oven. Its cordless design allows for lifting the kettle off its base for enhanced mobility or serving guests at the table. The unit's durable nickel-plated heating element resists staining, while its removable, washable, mesh water filter reduces lime scale in beverages. The hot-water kettle also features a hinged lid for convenient cleaning and filling, and a water-level window for an accurate water fill.
