I've had several deep friers and got this one on sale through Haute-Look.
It looks amazing. People ask me about it when it's just sitting there.
I LOVE being able to see how everything is cooking without taking the lid off.
I saw a complaint about the lid but the lid has yet to bother me. It has a steel mesh over the holes in it that prevents any splatter.
I like how it works. I get less splatter from it than I got from my last frier. I use the built in strainer just as a last resort to get any strays, I prefer using a spider skimmer for the majority of the removal.
If there is one part that I am less than thrilled with it is the break-away magnetic power cord. It prevents the frier getting pulled over by someone getting caught on the cord, but mine is a little delicate, I have to be a little careful about how the cord lays to ensure that the magnets stay connected.
