First, I paid 10 bucks less than advertised on this site at Sears, so look around.
My biggest question when I bought it was whether it would work. Obviously, if you want big power, you need the 2+ gpm gas models. (btw, they all put the PSI number on the side, but for most jobs, gallons per minute is more important) But are the small electrics good for anything, or do you need to bite the bullet and go all the way for most household work?
Short answer is this unit really did pretty well. The turbo nozzle on this thing really works. Its not fast, but it gets the job done. I've rented the big gas ones before. They are much more powerful and you can tell right away. But, I can't justify spending an extra $200 to save myself 90 minutes a year. It's all how much you use it, how much you have to have the biggest one around, and how much money you have.
I used it on my back sidewalks and it eventually cut through several years of moss, mildew and assorted crud. The walk looks great with very little use of elbow grease. I would not want to have to regularly go after a large area with it, but for occasional household use, it works great and will handle any household job, just more slowly.
