Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Set of 10 Baby Cubes 1 Oz. Baby Food Storage Containers - NO Phthalates, Bisphenol-A, or PVC

Customer Review: Good product for homemade baby food
Summary: 4 Stars

I was looking for small containers to transport homemade baby food to daycare in. I really like that the Baby Cube's lid is attached (vs. a separate piece)...much less likely to get lost at daycare! That is a huge plus! The size is good for my 7 month old. I like the tray they come in; makes storage easier/tidy in the cabinet. I have not tried freezing the baby food directly in the Baby Cubes. I always freeze in icecube trays and then pop them out into a ziploc freezer bag. Then I thaw a few icecubes and pack the Baby Cubes for daycare. The construction was a little flimsier than I hoped, but overall, this is a very useful product.

Customer Review: Good for Baby; Great for frozen Herbs!!!
Summary: 4 Stars

Like some of the other reviewers have said, these will last you 2 months at most with your baby as their appetite grows and you find you need to move to the 2 ounce cubes. However, I make fresh pureed garlic, ginger, mint, chillies, oregano, rosemary etc and store it in these cubes with reusable food labels.
When I need to cook, just defrost for 1 min and hey viola! great flavours for dinner!

Customer Review: Great for freezing pesto
Summary: 4 Stars

Baby cubes are great for freezing small amounts of sauce, such as Pesto. The size is a bit bigger than an ice cube, but the individual covers allow access to one cube at a time. the rack that they come in is only okay; I would rather that it hold the cubes more securely for when I bang it around in the freezer. Be warned, if you buy these Amazon will target you for baby stuff ads.

Customer Review: good, not great
Summary: 3 Stars

i definately like the size of each cube, and that each is separate from the others. what i don't like is that there's nothing keeping the cubes set in the tray. i don't know about your freezer, but mine is not the most organized, and there was no way i could just set the tray in and expect it to stay together. i ended up putting the whole thing in a freezer bag as well. it's also quite difficult to pop the food out of the cube once frozen, which is unfortunate because i was hoping to use the cubes to free, then put the food cubes into a freezer bag and make another batch using the tray. instead, i can only do batches of food once i've thawed each cube to feed baby. i'd probably prefer a tray with a lid that can release the food once frozen, even if it meant not having individual sealing cubes.

Customer Review: So-so product
Summary: 3 Stars

I was so excited to get this product since the ice cube trays had cracked when I tried to get baby food out of them. However, after using this product, I have to say I was disappointed and ended up continuing to use the ice cube trays. The little containers fall off the tray very easily so they are always falling off into the freezer. They take up a lot of room in the freezer which never worked for me and because they are individual containers, you can't stack them up very easy. If you fill them just a drop above the line, the lids won't close and pop open.

All in all, I would prefer tray where you can simply freeze, then pop out and store in freezer bags. Much easier to use and way more storage space in the freezer!
