Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Capresso Infinity Conical Burr GrindersCustomer Review: Money well spent! Summary: 5 Stars
I've had several electric burr grinders from other manufacturers which failed within a month of purchase. One grinder would spontaneously start grinding in the middle of the night. Another repeatedly gummed up as did the replacement unit. After experiencing the frustration of returning failed burr grinders, I became gun shy and avoided burr grinders for several years, resorting to using a blade grinder.
I purchased the Capresso conical burr grinder after getting recommendations from friends and reading the reviews here on Amazon.com. After five months of use, I continue to be pleased with the Capresso grinder. It is easy to use and clean and continues to give a consistent grind.
Customer Review: Worked for 7 years for us Summary: 5 Stars
Our grinder was serving us for 7 years, it did great job for the money we paid for it. We like turkish coffee made in ibrik and it needs very fine grind. We used mostly medium roast coffee preferably from Kona. I am lazy and irresponsible ;) and never actually cleaned it properly unless some mess was created, almoust never unpluged - but it worked perfectly, did not overheat although it was always set on extra fine. Finally one day it just didn't start, may be its fixible but not sure where to look for repair. I think its cheaper just to get new one. Thought of changing the brand but after reading different reviews desided to stick to this one - there is nothing better on the market.
Customer Review: Wow- Best value in burr grinders! Summary: 5 Stars
This review is for the Model 565 -- I'm not sure how the other models perform.
This is the best grinder in this price range, BY FAR -- and I have tried many of them. It gives a nice consistent grind from the finest setting all the way to the most coarse. This is the first sub-$500 grinder I've seen that can do a decent expresso grind. The grinder seems to be very well made; it's metal and fairly heavy. It disassembles easily and is a snap to clean. I have not had any issues with it getting clogged like some of the other reviewers mentioned. Honestly, I couldn't be happier; for the vast majority of people, this is the only grinder that you will ever need.
Customer Review: Works Great with Pasquini Espresso Machine Summary: 5 Stars
We have a Pasquini Livia 90 espresso machine, and I needed a grinder that could grind fine enough for this machine. I had previously gone through two Melitta grinders that were much cheaper (at $30), but they never really did a good job, even after a bit of modification. The Capresso Infinity is everything I could have wanted. The grinds are consistent, and the setting I use for our machine is 3 steps up from the finest grinds setting, so this machine is more than capable of making a good espresso grind. The noise level is minimal, and the coffee has a much better taste than what I was getting from the cheaper grinders. Very happy with this purchase.
Customer Review: Problem-free grinder Summary: 5 Stars
I'm very happy with this grinder: It's relatively quiet compared to the hand-held Krups blade grinder. It grinds consistent amounts at selected settings without regular cleaning. The hopper feeds the beans into the burrs with no problem. It grinds as fine as I want for espresso. It's compact. It has no electrical problems like the Krups burr ginder I bought at Starbucks, which lasted for maybe a dozen grinds before shutting down completely. It looks great. The ground coffee doesn't stick to the plastic catch and slides easily out. The catch itself has a positive "click" when seated fully into the grinder. What's not to love?
