I bought this from Amazon 2 years ago and just getting around to writing a review.
Great job grinding coffee. Slow grinding speed yields very consistent ground size. Good for very fine grinds as well as larger ones. Unlike less expensive burr grinders, its easy to take apart to clean and then reassemble and reset the exact desired ground size.
My advice is to ignore complaints that you have to clean it. Of course you do! And its super easy and fast to clean, as just mentioned.
The plastic grounds receptacle seats a bit loosely. This hasn't been a problem for me. If it becomes one, I plan to follow the simple advice of a previous reviewer and put some plastic tape on its bottom.

We've had this almost 2 years, and it's as good as ever. This is a great grinder, and certainly improved our coffee over pre-ground coffee. (We use a French press, so a cheaper whirly grinder would produce a ton of sediment.) I have two small nitpicks--first, the timer switch is rather silly--I don't see why they don't put either put a sensor on it to grind all the beans you add, or simply use an on/off switch. But after using it a few times it's a non-annoying design quirk. We also find a fair amount of coffee grinds occupy the inner recesses of the grinder, and we tap it against the kitchen counter to empty it sometimes. We put the clear plastic parts in the dishwasher to clean them when they start to get grungy.Customer Review: Agree with positive reviews

I over-analyzed this purchase but ended up very happy with this grinder. It's my first one after getting into using a French press and the fresh grind makes the coffee experience all the better. It's quiet and easy to use as per previous comments. I can attest to the coarse grind being suitable for French press but can't comment on the use for espresso. I am sure the comments from other reviewers are true.
The only thing worth mentioning is the comment from another person who said to be careful when unpacking everything. Look for the label that says "push" when you are removing the plastic components. Sounds stupid, I know, but the package design is 'clever'.

Yes, that's what I still say to my wife occasionally, and we've had it for months.
It's such a huge improvement over all the blade grinders we've had over the last couple of decades. There's no guessing about the grind quality, and you don't have to stand there and hold the thing and mentally time it. I just measure the coffee into it, set the timer, load a few dishes in the dishwasher, and it's done.
I am profoundly grateful about the reviews here that explain how to avoid breaking it. When we were getting it out of the box, I had to stop my wife from doing what several people here said they'd done that broke theirs, and of course I never try to speed up the timer by turning it.

The coffee grinds perfect for my gold filter; just fine enough. Yes, there's static; I just dump the grounds out the curved side of the coffee container then rap the container on the counter and dump the rest. As for the grinder retaining a lot of coffee, yes it does. But after thoroughly cleaning it, the "retained" coffee is made up of bean pieces and very coarse grounds - nothing like the rest of the coffee in the container. I think it just drops from the grinding burr and stays in the gaps in the machine; it never makes it into the coffee container. So I quit worrying about it and don't clean the machine so often. Enjoy a wonderful cup of coffee, flavorful and not bitter. Highly recommended!
