Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Capresso Infinity Conical Burr GrindersCustomer Review: Works Well Summary: 5 Stars
I have had this grinder for about a week and so far I am very pleased with it. This is my first burr grinder, before that I had the usual blade grinder, and I am happy to report that I much prefer this way of grinding. The coffee grind is obviously much more consistent, and the precise control of grind size makes it much easier to grind for my various coffee makers (drip and french press).
It is quite easy to clean and I have not found static to be a problem, so long as you give the side of the machine a few pats after running it (as the instructions say.) The only annoyance with mine is that the grind collector tends to want to move out as the machine runs, just a little bit. However, all of the grinds still find there way into the chamber and there is no mess as a result.
I am still trying to figure out exactly the right setting for the timer to not grind too much or too little, but once I figure all of that out I'm going to be even more happy with this purchase.
Customer Review: Excellent Grinder Summary: 5 Stars
Bought the Capresso about a month ago, and I was going to wait to review it, but wanted to post in time for holiday shoppers, because this is a great gift.
We had a Krups, and it was awful. Static threw coffee all over the counter and the front of my shirt, etc and it was SO loud.
The Capresso is a dream. It's noisy, of course, but not even half of what the Krups was. You can talk and don't feel the need to cover your ears. There really is so little static I might as well say there is none. I grind each pot at a time, I don't fill the hopper, and I wait a minute before dumping the ground coffee, and it's fine -- virtually no static.
The coffee has been great, consistent and no mess like we had with the Krups. I'm considering buying a few more for Christmas gifts. I also like how it looks on our counter. Making good coffee is easy again. Thanks, Capresso.
Customer Review: My First Coffee Grinder Summary: 5 Stars
I was told that there isn't any fresher coffee flavor than fresh ground coffee. I've even worked for a local coffee service here in town, and tasted coffee that was ground whole bean, and preground. I must say that fresh ground indeed has the best flavor. My Capresso Infinity Conical Burr Grinder arrived just a few minutes ago, along with my first 5lb bag of my favorite beans (talk about a coincidence!),
Set up/assembly was elementary. I downloaded the PDF instruction manual from the Capresso website, so I was versed in operation. Let me tell you, this cup of coffee is by far the best yet! Fresh ground whole bean coffee in my own home, excellent!! I'm so looking forward to tomorrow morning!!
I purchased this particular grinder due to the well over 300 positive remarks! Not all of these people can all be wrong! I'll follow up in a few months after some future grinding!
Customer Review: Burrtastic! Summary: 5 Stars
This is my 1st coffee grinder. It's burrtastic! Thank you to all the previous reviews which helped me come across this terrific Burr grinder. I was originally gonna get a Krups grinder in the assumption it's good and found out through Amazon reviews the one to get is this Capresso's burr grinder (terrific for expresso).
I am very glad I chose this. It's very quiet, has lots of grind option settings and looks great too!
Like other reviews have said, it is a little messy but not as bad I had imagined it to be.
I have found quite a bit of left over grounded coffee in the lower burr chamber. I found if you tilt the grinder forward, with use of the brush, you can relatively easily get the remainder of the grinds out for use.
I can't get over how fresh, great tasting my Starbucks iced latte came out. Just like Starbucks! Worth every penny!
Customer Review: This is the one Summary: 5 Stars
Quite simply this is the least expensive home grinder that does a good job. I used an inexpensive Braun grinder for many years, purchased and returned a Lello 45800/3006 Ariete Burr Coffee Grinder recently, and observed others in use at various places. This Capresso grinder is far superior to all of those others.
- The conical burr design this model has is the only way to go. Consistent grind and low static electricity.
- Still noisy, but at a lower frequency that other units out there. Definitely bearable in volume.
- Timer is simple and works.
- My only complaint (echoed by others) is that some coffee is left inside the unit after each grind (maybe 1/2 a tablespoon). Not a big deal.
Overall I highly recommend this grinder. The black finish is fine, but if it is in your budget I'm sure the stainless is even better looking.
