Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Jokari Fizz-Keeper Pump & PourCustomer Review: Saving Grace for this Frugal Shopper! Summary: 5 Stars
I've used the Fizz Keepers since about 2003, when I found them at Bed Bath & Beyond (sadly not stocking them anymore). Fizz Keepers are wonderful!! I have left 4 over in Ireland with relatives I frequently visit, 3 with my parents and keep at least 3 in my home. They have been stocking stuffers at Christmas for years! I'm able to buy the huge inexpensive store brand soda water or seltzer bottles to make wonderful Italian sodas w/sugar-free syrup, and the soda stays fizzy for weeks!!! One tip: when the soda gets down to about 1/4 left in the big bottle, I decant it into a regular soda bottle (12 oz) and use another Fizz Keeper. This ensures the soda stays fizzier even longer! I will admit that one (1) of my Fizz Keepers did break as someone else said, but it was because I roughly twisted the top when it wasn't firmly closed, breaking the little piece of plastic that "locks" the cap down. So, now I do understand that you need to carefully close the cap until it snaps and then twist away to remove the Fizz Keeper from the bottle. As a long-time user, these products are fabulous! I always travel with one so that I can stopper any size soda bottle and enjoy fizzy soda over whatever time I need. Great product!!
Customer Review: Gotta have the fizzzzzzzzz! Summary: 5 Stars
I am a coke-a-holic. but I have started taking fizz water.(Better 4 ya)
But, alass! the fizz is gone, and now it's jus plain water. But with the Fizz pump you can keep it alive till the end. Just stick it back in the frig.
These little pumps used to be hanging all over the grocery store but now they have dis-ta-peared.
But, Surprize Surprise, surprize, I got a whole pocket full from Amazon, and I got them super quick.
Thank you, Amazon, and next time I want somethin I will try you first.

Customer Review: Love this!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I have been searching for a fizz keeper for years! I bought one a long time ago at a kitchen store that is no longer in business. I missed that thing...and now I found the exact same fizz keeper I had. :-)
Customer Review: It does work. Summary: 4 Stars
I've never bothered to review anything before, but after reading the impressive sounding review of how our lungs work, I had to respond.
I purchased one of these 2-3 years ago at my local Kroger and used it successfully up until it broke 2 months ago. I even bought one for my 80 year old mother, hers is still working. I had given up ever finding another one, thank you Amazon.com.
I don't know CO2 from Shinola, but I do know this pump keeps the fizz in the cola longer than doing nothing. It is not 100% perfect, the bottom few inches will not be as good as the previous cola, but a heck of a lot better than what I've been tasting for the last two months.
NEGATIVES:
1.)It is cheap plastic. If you are ham-fisted or uncoordinated, you can very easily snap it in half. It has to be completely latched closed before twisting, and only twist the cap part, not the bulb.
2.)It takes forever to pump the pressure up when you get half way down. The small rubber bulb only squirts out a small amount of air with each squeeze, so be prepared to pump 25-35 times and more as the cola gets low. Pump until the bottle feels as firm as it did from the store, or it will go flat. The effort may not be worth it to some people, especially if you have painful joints in your thumbs or fingers.
Customer Review: Currently the best gadget around in keeping the fizz. Summary: 4 Stars
It works as described. But yes, it will break over time. However considering how much (flat) soft drink amount you may actually throw away over time because you didn't use a Fizz Keeper Pump & Pour; the pump may actually pay for by itself.
A good tip as another reviewer previously noted. When having about 1/4 soft drink left from an 2 liter bottle, pour it into a 20 oz. bottle and pump this one. It will prolong the soft drinks fizz.
