I had never heard of a Sweater Stone, but this thing really works! There is no chance of harming the fabric. The lint and bits of stone that are left, need to be vacuumed or shook out, and you are done.
The odor that has been mentioned, is a sulfur-like smell. I only smelled it during use, and only slightly.

I bought it not expecting much, and it turned out to be fabulous. I've pulled several cashmere sweaters back out of my clothes that were going Goodwill since I got this. Doesn't only remove pills--removes the general fuzziness cashmere gets after a couple years. I absolutely love it.Customer Review: Works Great!

I really like this product. Takes the pills off very easily and fast. The only drawback, and this is minimal; it is a bit messy, so you might want to do it in your garage or over the sink. The sweater stone works better at getting fuzz ball off of wool sweaters that anything I've ever tried (including those electric shavers). It's easy to use, just brush stone along sweater and it pulls the fuzz balls away from the other fibers.Customer Review: Highly recommend the sweater stone

I could not believe the difference in my sweaters after I used the sweater stone. I usually wash my sweaters instead of dry cleaning so they had a lot of pills on them. The sweater stone takes them all off and they look great.
