Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Jiffy Steamer 0601 ESTEAM Travel Steamer, BlackCustomer Review: works as good as an expensive one I have used before Summary: 5 StarsI am very proud of this purchase. Easy to hold and not very heavy. Also fits in a suitcase well. My son is in the Marines and will be using it for his dress uniforms. He has to be wrinkle free but travel tightly packed. I may have to buy another one as I am going to miss it at the house.
Customer Review: Jiffe Esteam Summary: 3 StarsIt took a little practice, but once you get the "hang" of it, it works. The Esteam works better than other hand held steamers. Don't waste your money on the cheap ones. They don't work.
The Esteam comes with a great instruction and parts manual too. I hate ironing but steam will never replace the iron in my estimation. Wrinkles disappear but clothes don't have that crisp, pressed look you can get with an iron. Having said that, this well-made tool gets rid of wrinkles most of the time and that's all I need. It especially works well on suits, sports jackets, etc. It knocks wrinkles out fast.
Customer Review: Great little steamer Summary: 5 StarsI was looking for something just like this to travel with me. It fits well in my carry-on, and does the job well. Heats quickly and doesn't spit water everywhere.
Customer Review: Excellent purchase Summary: 5 StarsVery happy with the garment steamer - already saved so much money on clothes I would have sent to the cleaners. EXTREMELY quick, easy to use, and great portability. I haven't tried any other steamers, but I highly recommend this one. Not sure why I'd need to spend anymore money on a pricier, bulkier steamer.
Customer Review: Works great for some things Summary: 4 StarsI keep the Jiffy steamer in my room so I can dewrinkle clothes last minute and don't feel like running downstairs to the laundry room. Perfect for knits. Works on jeans unless you want a sharp crease. I steam out wrinkles in my cotton scrubs before work or stuff that I didn't get out of the dryer in time. Not good for pressing neck colars, although it works somewhat in front. I use a tongs or clothes pin to pull the sleave or collar taut so I can get the wrinkle out without scortching my fingers. And I hang pants or shirt on towel bar against a wall to flatten in a crease for arms of a sleave. It hasn't ruined my wall paint yet but I have good bathroom paint. Really love it for casual clothes/especially when they are stuffed or folded into a bag/suitcase when traveling.
