Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Jack Lalanne's JLSS Power Juicer Deluxe Stainless-Steel Electric JuicerCustomer Review: Almost perfect but not quite! Summary: 4 Stars
I personally bought this one as a gift for my Uncle. His Wife informed me that they "use to" have the same model until moving to Nevada. She stated that their Orig. one burned up & they BOTH felt it was because it gets too hot in Nevada & the mach. needs a cooler atmosphere( They ONLY had Orig. for 3yrs).So I guess if you live in a Hot State you will want to turn your Air on Before running it. My Personal opinion/exp. is that the only Negatives were in cleaning the mach. & the Spout gets clogged during use espec. with Oranges! We take it outside to hose off with a high pressure sprayer, however ALWAYS find little pockets we have to reclean. As far as the spout clogging that just takes a good shake or use of a pointed object to sweep the opening out.
Customer Review: Works great with organic fruits, not GMO fruits Summary: 4 Stars
I think all juicers are work, and if you use organic foods ILO the GMO (Genetically Modified)products that are huge, imploded with steroids and other junk, you will be perfectly happy with this juicer. If you use un-Organic fruits and vegies you mind as well not be juicing. It's a learning curve and you need to realize that if you juice grasses and herbs, that you need to follow it up with a larger fruit or vegie. i have had great results with this machine, but I am thinking about getting a blender that is designed for this type of thing so I can include the much needed fiber from the fruits and vegies. All and all I give it an 8 og 10 score, only because God/Jeus is the only perfect thing.
Customer Review: juicer Summary: 4 Stars
I like the juicer but there are a couple design problems. The spout does not open up very much. The base stops the spout thus if you are not careful the juice backs up if it is somewhat thick. I like to make enough juice to fill a 12-16oz cup. This won't fit under the unit. I have solved this by placing the juicer on a high counter with the spout over the edge. I then catch the juice with a funnel placed in the cup. I was determined to make this purchase work out. Other helpful hints, keep a blender near by for your bananas and papaya these will not work in the juicer. Then mix your juice from the juicer into the blender to blend. Enjoy, where there is a will there is a way.
Customer Review: $90 at Costco Summary: 4 Stars
it may be because i don't have anything to compare it to but its hard to imagine juice tasting better than what i get out of this thing. even veggies i don't like come out tasting great if i add two apples and an orange. the pulp that comes out is almost bone dry so i think I'm getting every drop of juice i can get. the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the spout where the juice comes out is only high enough for an 8 ounce glass. I'm sure there is some reason behind the design but it is annoying to have to keep using 8oz glasses to fill regular sized ones. other than that this thing is great,[...].

Customer Review: Lotsa juice Summary: 4 Stars
My sister bought the Jack Lalanne juicer for my mother, but she did want it so she gave it to me. I had been wanting one for a long time and was happy to get it. I am not disappointed. I haven't had any problems except for having to take everything apart to clean it every time and getting some of the pulp off of the mesh screen. Other than that, it works great! It makes a lot of juice and it's sturdy. I haven't had any problem with the motor or anything else, so those who did must have bought a defective one. I love it!
