I've watched several infomercials about this product. Honestly I thought it was more hype than anything, until I watched it with my father one night and he seemed very interested in it. I seriously thought I could just get a cheaper one and it would yield the same results, but I admit I was wrong.
Not only do you get more juice from your veggies and fruits, but the pulp is absolutely dry and able to be used for other recipes. Not to mention that hey, it's fun to use. Once I got the box and cracked it open, we were already itching to try a particular juice recipe. We immediately created our concoction before I went to work, and I had energy all day. Very impressive.
Set up and clean up are a breeze. It's not particularly loud, which is great because I live in an apartment. The Juicer is very conveniently placed and the booklets included have awesome recipes and the instructions for care are very easy to follow. If you're frugal like I am, and don't mind recycling pulp, this is the juicer for you.

I'm a fairly practical individual. I bought my Jack LaLanne POWER juicer used. 3-years old, paid $40. It was used frequently the first year and then became a shelf flower the next two. But it was well cared for in the first year of use. I've owned cheaper juicers-all hand-me-downers or used.
The first nugget-of-goodness came when I discovered how little effort I had to put into preparation. My experience with my previous juicers was that the majority of my "juicing" time was spent cutting fruit and veggies into small enough pieces to fit down the hatch. The opening to the blade is so large and the motor so powerful in the Jack LaLanne, that my juicing time was reduced by half.
The second nugget-of-goodness is it's quiet enough that I can juice while my kids are still in bed in the early morning without the worry of waking them. My last juicer was so loud and vibrated so much I think we registered on the local richter scale at a 2.3.
Well worth the money. I would buy another one.

I own a Jack la lanne for about 2 years now. Since then, I`ve bought my boyfiend a very expensive Breville Elite Juicer, which is very good, much easier to clean an assemble and dissemble, but it just doesn`t make as much juice out of the same amount of fruit as the JLL. The left over pulp is moist and you can still squeeze a little juice out of it with your hands. Than I bought my dad a Breville regular juicer, and it is basically the same as the Elite, only cheaper. Now for my brother I have bouth the JLL. In my opinion it is the best, the pulp is dry, it really takes all the juice out of the fruit.
If you want more juice, buy this. If you want ease to use and clean, buy one made of stainless steel.

This is my second juicer, my first was a Champion that cost around $300 so I was a bit skeptical about one that costs a mere $90. Boy was I wrong! The Power Juicer is awesome! We have had it for about two weeks juicing daily, everything from carrots to whole cucumbers and apples. The three inch opening is great because you can just shove whole vegetables right in there. This thing tears through whatever you put into it. Cleanup is a breeze, though the plastic inside is stained from the carrot juice, no biggie there. Overall a top notch juicer. Great for a single person or couple, has a relatively small footprint and is QUIET too. The Champion sounded like a wood shop running, this thing is quiet. Just love my Jack Lalanne Juicer. Liked it so much bought one for my sister. Simple to use and easy to clean up. Especially easy to clean up if you have a dishwasher. The extracted pulp is delicious to snack on. Even my two dauchounds like to snack on the pulp. If you get tired of sweetening with apples try using grapes or pears. I also own the Health Master Blender 100. It's durable and easy to clean. I use it to make smoothies and sorbets. Previously owned two other blenders I bought at KMart. They both had great replacement waranties but they broke twice. So if you make daily smoohties or use your blender often I recommend the Health Master 100. It gets 4 Stars from me. Enjoy a healthy life!
