I saw Alton Brown use a blade tenderizer to make cube steak, so I went to the local kitchen store to pick one up.The only tenderizers they had,were the mallet type,so I went to Amazon and picked out this one, for no particular reason. This one does a very nice job, it makes the meat very tender without making it look like a piece of roadkill. I would guess the marinade would flavor the meat better with all of the holes, bit I marinate overnight anyway, so I'll have to take their word for it.

The jacard is a unique and easy way to tenderize meat and poultry. The devise is simple to use and makes a dramatic difference in the tenderness of almost any cut of meat. I especially use it on cuts I marinate. The jacard makes multiple cuts in the meat and allows marinades to invade the meat more thoroughly. Cooking time is also reduced. I use the jacard on almost everything I BBQ, broil and roast. It couldn't be easier and results are remarkable. I highly recommend this product.

This was a gift for my son-in-law. Bought mine after watching a TV show about steak houses. This one in Texas seats about 1,500 people.
They had the mother of all tenderizers, industrial strength of course.
A huge lever-operated unit. The Jaccard is essentially the same, but on a smaller scale. I don't grill a steak without tenderizing it first. Made believers out of all the folks that come here for a steak dinner. Well worth the $$.

Unbelievable results. The day I received this tenderizer, I truly put it to the test. I went to the store and bought a piece of beef brisket, the toughest cut of meat I could find. I brought it home, pierced it thoroughly, seasoned it and put it directly on the BBQ grill just like I would a steak. I grilled it medium rare and the results were amazing. It cut very easily, was easy to chew and very tasty. I just wish I had bought this thing years ago!

Jaccard Supertendermatic Meat Tenderizer Knife 48 Blade Stainless Steel Md: 200348My son had one of these & really liked it. I saw it on Amazon.com & decided to get it. It's 100% better than any other tenderizing method I've tried. The small knives puncture the meat allowing marinades & rubs to get down inside. A "must have" for the discriminating cook.
