Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Jaccard Simply Better Meat Tenderizer Knife 45 Blade Stainless Steel Md: 200345NSCustomer Review: Difficult to re-assemble. Summary: 3 StarsI didn't mean for this to be a negative review.... but I wanted folks to know that the tines do not easily line up when re-assembling this unit following cleaning. This can be frustrating because these tines/blades are very sharp and that obviously can be an issue. Perhaps the one I received just has the tines/blades slightly out of alignment and this is a rare problem, I had actually read about this problem in another review and marked it down as an isolated case, but now I dont think so.
That said, This thing works great and definitely does the job as advertised as far as tenderizing goes.
My suggestion is to wash without disassembing and you will be fine. Or buy the model that does not disassemble.
Customer Review: I bought this becuase of the glowing review that Alton Brown gave it... Summary: 4 Stars...and like it a lot, too. It is excellent for getting marinades into meats, and easy to clean, but it doesn't really make the meat any thinner, as you really need to for some dishes if you don't buy the "thin cut" steaks. Also for meats of uneven thickness, like chicken breasts, so I find myself still pounding some meats. It is very useful for some things, but not the answer to everything. (I still liked it enough to buy one for my sister as a gift.)
Customer Review: great! Summary: 5 StarsI bought this as a gift for my handicapped uncle. He loves it. It is easy to use.
Customer Review: Meat tenderizer Summary: 5 StarsThis is a good way to be able to buy less tender cuts of meat....this product is easy to use and does what it is supposed to do...I highly recommend it...cleans easily in the dishwasher..
Customer Review: It doesn't get better than this. Summary: 5 StarsThis is really a great little gadget. It does a good job on even the toughest cuts of meat. I actually use mine to chop chicken for chicken meat balls. Just be careful. The blades are extremely sharp. To clean, I let soak in hat water for a few minutes to dissolve any remaining fat on the blades, and then wash in hot, soapy water.
