They are sharp which is what I wanted, however the main reason I ordered them is because I wanted good knives that are dishwasher safe. These are proving not to be! They are starting to get stains on them, and I have only had them a month. I am thinking of returning them even though though they cut beautifully.Customer Review: Henckels steak knife

Overall very nice steak knife. The serrated tip cuts steaks very nicely without tearing the meat. Also, it's very sharp so, care is needed when handling.
The weight of the knife is lighter than I expected. Also, the handle is smaller than what I prefer but I'm getting used to the smaller size.

The saying goes: "You get what you pay for." I needed 8 steak knives yet did not wish to spend $200 or more for only six good quality knives. Therefore I compromised and purchased the J.A. Henckels Twin Gourmet 8-piece steak knives for less than $100 at Amazon. They are light knives, neat looking (slim) without heavy looking handles, so that you can add to everyday table setting. Serves the purpose. Wish they were a bit more substantial. Otherwise, okay for everyday usage.
