I purchased these knives after having purchased and returned mundial steak knives that had great blades, but the black plastic handles faded after only one hand washing. These knives have serrated blades and are fine for cutting steak on a plate, and I don't think I would want steak knives to be any sharper than what these are, because if so, they would damage my dinner plates. You aren't supposed to wash them in the dishwasher, but I have several times now and they came through as good as new. The rose wood box is nothing special, but it's okay. Overall, for the price, I'm quite happy with these knives.Customer Review: Sharp? Yes, Sharp.

Very good knives. Be very careful when washing, I cut myself twice already (the first time I wasn't even aware of it for a few hours). In the description the maker indicates that the knives should be hand washed and dried, and not soaked... That's because the handles are very stain-saturated, if left wet the stain bleeds out onto the blade. Nevertheless, they were made to cut, and that's exactly what they do. Regarding the price, I bought them on sale, and I think that the sale price should be the retail price to make the set a good value.Customer Review: Great steak knife set!

I first became aware of these knives when I ordered a set for a friend as a Christmas gift over a year ago. At Christmas dinner a year later, I had invited a large number of guests, and realized to my chagrin that I didn't have enough decent steak knives for everyone. I did some online shopping and discovered the same high quality knife set, for $20 less than last year! They are great knives, they hold an edge well, the box is quite attractive and there are enough of them that dinner for eight is not a problem. A great buy!Customer Review: Quality Knives

These were given to us as a wedding present over 5 years ago. Ours get used at least weekly. We put them in the dishwasher and they wash up fine. Mine are still nice and sharp after 5 years of use too. At $100 they are a very good value for the price. I looked them up on here for a gift for my mother for their second home.
