I purchased this set of knives 3 years ago. They've held up beautifully and I use them every day. The dishwasher doesn't cause them to dull. I was so pleased that I just bought a second set for our other home. Be sure to get the JA Henckels, not the Henckels International(cheap). I value a knife by how much use it actually sees, and we use these constantly. Any time I need to peel or cut something, I look for one of these. They are extremely sharp...and I don't mean "knife-sharp,"...think razor blade sharp. You do have to be extremely careful in this regard, it's easy to cut yourself simply because they go through fruit and veggies like they're soft butter. I don't really like the bright colored handles, but once you get used to them, it makes it easier to quickly separate which ones have which blades. I highly recommend these...you will use them often.Customer Review: Hurrah! Good deal

These are some excellent paring knives. The price is killer @ $23.00.
Why are the good, two man henckels so cheap? The handles are a bit on the "plasticky" side. They appear to function fine, just feel like a cheaper knife in hand, but they cut like a dream.
They're a good mix for the money, you've got your paring needs covered --and as cheap as they were, I can chuck them in the dishwasher with confidence.

I have purchased these knives as gifts after receiving a set as a gift and buying an extra set for myself. Although inexpensive, they are truly quality knives.
