Far superior to cheap double "never need to be sharpened" serrated knifes. So sick of those cheap excuses for knives, these are the real experience. They always get food trapped between the groves and then rusts the blade, or is just plain unsanitary.
There is something beautiful in being able to sharpen a knife when it goes dull, and the heavy steel handle that form fits to your hand is perfection, making your culinary experinces have more depth,
its like surgical.
You get a varity of knives in this set, ALL DIFFERENT. Wished the set contained more of the little main knife you would use, the little paring knife, contained only one. On the other hand there were many large knives that you good double for home security.
The case was beautiful, resin that I cannot give justice to. The company logo is exotic and that with the long history of J.A Henckels, 1700's, when you buy these, you are buying an heirloom.
Never going to spend hundreds of dollars on knives, this set is not to be sold short by the snobs. Notice: original price is 225.00 and is now priced for under 60.00
I bought this set with the suggested buy all three, thinking to get additional small vegtable cutting knives, warning: those 8 steak knives do not belong with this set for anything than the dinner table. They are clunky, but still good.
